They give their reasons for not considering the other 10 or 11 brain defects FP reported but it seems a missed opportunity, particularly because there is some previous data on this at http://thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736%2816%2900625-5/fulltext. It's also unfortunate that they didn't consider connecting any of the 8 microcephalies to the PCR results already published in that paper. and if you look at the timing of the 1st and last microcephalies, the number linked to the outbreak looks like 6 rather than 8, which matters given your earlier stat analysis of FP.
